You are definitely living under a rock if you believe that lipsticks are only meant for application on your lips. Well, it’s not your fault that’s what anybody will understand just by thinking of the word lipstick. But my friend, it ain’t true. There are multiple ways to use your lipstick other than applying them to your lips. Let’s have a look at them, shall we?
1) COLOUR CORRECTOR
Yes. You can use your coral or orangy lipsticks as a color corrector. Since orange lipsticks are darker they help in canceling out any sort of discoloration you might have or your acne scars. But remember this is just a base, you need to apply foundation or a good coverage concealer over it so that you can match it up to your skin tone. So go and save yourself some money because you don’t need to buy those expensive color-correcting palettes anymore.
2) BLUSH
This is a no-brainer tip. People have been doing this since forever. You can use your red, pink, or corally lipsticks as blushes over your cheek depending on what color works for you. But make surer you are using creamy lipsticks because they are easy to blend. Liquid lipsticks dry up faster so they might not blend out and can end up looking patchy.
3) CONTOUR
If you face difficulties in finding your right contouring or bronzing shades, don’t worry your favorite brown lipstick will save your day. Yes! You read that right, you can absolutely use your brown lipsticks as a contour all you have to do is draw a line on the hollows of your cheek and then blend it out slowly. Again, make sure you have creamy lipstick for better application and easier blendability.
4) EYELINER
Need a pop of color as your eyeliner but don’t have any? Worry not once again your lipstick is gonna save your day. You can apply your brown, pink, red, orange, purple whatever color you want as your liner by simply grabbing a liner brush and taking your lipstick. Draw a line over your eyes just as you would with eyeliner and you’re good to go. This time use liquid lipstick so that it does not budge.
5) EYE SHADOW/ EYE SHADOW BASE
You can use your lipsticks not just as an eyeshadow but also as an eyeshadow base. If you have a slight discoloration on your eyes or veins popping through, you can apply your nude lipsticks over your eyelid as a base. This will not just cancel out the discoloration but will also serve as a smooth base for your eye shadow application.
